Gabe Polchies
Owner
Gabe has been selling Xerox equipment for over 30 years and opened Maine Document Solutions in 2001. Since then, MDS has gone from a Xerox agency in southern Maine and expanded its product offering to include HP in addition to Xerox. In 2021, MDS opened its full-service print and copy center in Gorham. It has always been his goal to provide the best equipment and service from a locally owned company. Gabe grew up in eastern Maine and graduated from high school at MDI. He then attended Husson and UMaine, studying business. He has called Gorham home for the past 20 years. He enjoys spending time with his family and dogs. His hobbies include golfing, skiing, coaching, and watching baseball.

Eric Trombley
VP Operations

Eric is now in his 18th year at Maine Document Solutions. A native of Portland, he graduated from PHS in 2002. He then graduated from the University of Vermont in 2006 before coming back home and starting his career at MDS. Though his focus is on network integration and workflow optimization, he is formally trained by Xerox in sales, technical support, and hardware support. He can step into any role needed at MDS. He lives in Portland with his wife, Jessica, and their two children Henry and Grace. Eric enjoys spending time at their activities, cooking for a crowd, camping and spending time with family.
Jim Dillon
Print Manager

Jim has been in the print industry for over 30 years. At MDS he takes care of all things in the print and copy center. A master of his craft, he can take your idea, and put it down on paper (or other media). Originally from Scarborough, Jim attended UMaine before leaving to play baseball for the Oakland A’s organization. He has resided in Gorham for the last 20+ years. Out of the office, Jim enjoys camping and spending time with his family. In the summer you can find him on the golf course or at any baseball field in Southern Maine.
Nick Polchies
Service Manager
With an incredible knack to diagnose and fix hardware issues in a timely manner, Nick has quickly taken the lead of our service department here at MDS. He has been trained by Xerox to work on the full line of office equipment from the desktop printer all the way through the production line. Nick always enjoys a good challenge and making sure our customers are happy with their equipment. A graduate of Gorham high school, Nick studied Computer Science and Network Security at UMaine before jumping into the family business. Nick enjoys exploring all that Maine has to offer with his friends and family.
Jacob Polchies
Business Development Manager

Jake is the latest addition to our management team. Fresh off graduating from UMaine and an internship with Disney Corporation, he has rapidly grown into his role here at MDS. He’s always looking for the best business solution for our customers and finding new clients to enjoy the MDS experience. Jake’s hobbies include drinking coffee and golf. He is also a certified ski instructor.

When you stop in, you’ll certainly meet our greeting crew. Emma leads the team as MDS Chief Security Officer. Once you get past her, you’ll meet the King Charles gang of Charlie, Lucy, and Linus.
